This gave me the shivers.

One is ever reminded of Jünger the naturalist, the gardener; a man closely attuned to the rhythms of the earth.

"Forms become simpler and clearer, pattern emerges at the expense of colour." Here in the desert -- not wholly opposed to Jünger's northern lands -- December takes on an expression of stark clarity; if anything, the colors are pellucid, more intense. Dust and haze are banished as if swept away by December's broom. The winter clouds hang low on the mountains, cosseting them; not the lofty, eruptive clouds of summer. When it rains, it rains all day.

His spirituality is completely keyed in to his appreciation of the natural world. The light of Sirius reaching us is proof of God.

Some may view this as "paganistic," but I don't think it is.
